Ecclesiastes 3:12-13 (NIV): I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil—this is the gift of God.

This passage in Ecclesiastes emphasizes the importance of finding satisfaction in the simple pleasures of life. It suggests that true contentment comes from recognizing the inherent goodness in the world and in one's own existence, and from being grateful for the gifts that have been bestowed upon us. It encourages us to find joy in the present moment, to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, and to recognize the value of virtuous and generous living. This past Sunday was one of those moments of pure simple pleasure.

Though, we still have work to do. I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone in Morehead First Church of God for all the hard work that you've put into The Mission. Like Pastor Matt said in his sermon a couple of weeks ago, everyone has a purpose and everyone in this church have continued to serve their purpose to their absolute best. Colossians 3:23-24 instructs us as believers to work wholeheartedly, as if serving Christ directly rather than serving a human employer. This transforms daily labor into sacred service. It emphasizes that diligence is a spiritual act for which the ultimate reward is divine inheritance rather than earthly recognition.

So, thank you everyone for all your hard work, you are doing God's work and there is nothing more important!
